Family Run Business – Economical, Efficient & Environmentally Friendly

We have been a family run business for over 10 years; selling Firewood and related products to Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.

Founded by Ray Brown back in 2012, he runs the business with his daughter Jaz; who manages the office and financial side of things and his son Dylan who assists Ray around the yard and Jaz in the office.

From Seasoned & Kiln Dried Firewood to Smokeless Coal and Woodchip – We have a variety of products to choose from that are sustainable and locally sourced.

Reduce

Our Firewood is made by processing the waste we bring back through our tree business: Browns Tree Solutions – We aim to recycle and reuse as much waste as we can.

Through our tree surgery business, we bring back as much timber and waste as possible. We then recycle and reuse it all here, at Firewood Fuel MK.

We are always mindful of the waste we produce and ensure everything is reused and recycled, where possible.

Reuse

Wood that is good for burning will be split into logs and left to season until it’s ready to be sold on as Firewood to our domestic and commercial customers.

Any wood that is not good for burning will be chipped or mulched which then gets sold on for a variety of uses.

Other wood waste maybe sold on and used for other projects or events. For example, log rings for Axe Throwing Events, Wedding cake stand or displays. Some of our larger and higher quality timber will be sent off to Bill Blyth of Bills Mills; he mills, sands and stains it to create beautiful bespoke furniture, amongst other things! Recycle

Any timber or wood waste that cannot be used for Firewood is chipped or mulched. We will then sell it onto our customers.

Mulch can be used for planting and around the garden; it supplies plants with vital nutrients, while protecting the roots and also helps with seed germination.

Our Log Woodchip is a dense and hardy material. It can be used for pathways, horse tracks and play areas. We also stock pile our Log Woodchip and sell onto businesses that will use it for biomass.

Additional Services

Delivery

We offer FREE DELIVERY to all of Milton Keynes and, anywhere within a 20-mile radius of Firewood Fuel (MK17 9FX). Delivery is made using our van with a mechanical crane arm, allowing us to drop the bags on your driveway; our van is quite compact so can access most properties with no issues.

Our firewood is always delivered inside the bags – no pallet to dispose of! (Unless you are ordering outside of our delivery area then we may use a third party company that will deliver our bags on a pallet). You can reuse our bags for garden waste and other projects or you can return them on your next order!

Timber Removal

Using comprehensive machinery we can extract timber from sites and recycle it into our business so nothing goes to waste! We have a compact van which has a mechanized crane arm that can lift timber as well as our Avant which is helpful for transporting timber around a site for extraction.

We know finding a tip site for waste produced from tree works can be time consuming and not always cost effective due to travel and charges – We can take all that stress away…

Stacking

Stacking your logs after a delivery can be tiresome, especially in poor weather so, why not leave the hard work to us?

Add stacking service to your order and upon delivery, your wood will be unloaded, transported and stacked in your chosen location e.g. garage, shed or log store.

We have wheel barrow and sack trolley to help us transport the wood through small spaces and tight access points.

Please Note: We Cannot Stack Inside Homes.
